Video

Generate video clips with an async task model — submit a prompt, poll for status, fetch the result.

Video generation is asynchronous: submit a prompt, receive a task id, poll for its status, then fetch the finished clip. Text-to-video, image-to-video and reference modes all share one request shape.

The durations, resolutions and aspect ratios you can request depend on the chosen model — read them back from the models endpoint rather than assuming a fixed set.

Video generation runs in the background — there is no streaming render. The flow is always: create task → poll status → download MP4. Tasks expire after 24 hours.

1. Create a task

Submits the job and returns a task ID. Cost is estimated from duration × the model’s per-second price and settled when the job is processed.

prompt	string	Required	Scene description.
mode	string	Optional	"text" (default), "image" (animate a first-frame image), "reference" (style transfer from one or more frames).
duration_seconds	integer	Optional	Clip length. Range depends on the model — typically 5, 8 or 10 s. Defaults to the model's minimum.
aspect_ratio	string	Optional	"16:9", "9:16", "1:1", "4:3" — must be in the model's supported list.
quality	string	Optional	"480p", "720p", "1080p" — must be in the model's supported list.
input_images	array	Optional	[{ url? } \| { b64_json? }] — required for "image" and "reference" modes.

Any other keys (e.g. seed, sound) are forwarded to the upstream provider as-is — they are not validated here and support is model-dependent.

2. Poll for status

Poll every 5–15 seconds. Tasks usually complete in 30 s – 4 min depending on duration and model. The same endpoint returns the result URL when status flips to "completed".

2b. Stream progress (optional)

Skip the polling loop with a Server-Sent Events stream. Emits one event per progress change and closes once the task is in a terminal state. Same payload shape as the GET endpoint.

3. List and delete

Returns your recent tasks (newest first). Useful for the dashboard to render a history view.

Returns up to your 100 most recent tasks, newest first, as { "data": [ ...tasks ] }. There are no query parameters — filter and paginate client-side.

DELETEhttps://api.airforce/v1/video/tasks/:task_id

Removes the task record from your history.

Idempotent — always returns { "deleted": true }. This deletes your history record only; it does not separately purge stored media.

Cost & constraints

Each video model exposes capability metadata you can read from /v1/models:

Cost is estimated at creation and settled when the job is processed; failed or expired tasks are not charged.
Max 4 concurrent video tasks per API key.
Result URLs are pre-signed and stop working at expires_at. Download or copy the MP4 to your own storage if you need it longer.
